So you would think that I would have more time on my hands during "Club Week" since I wasn't pledging a club, and I would therefore be writing regularly. Not so. The week still had an effect on me, just in different ways.

Basically, I was really happy I didn't pledge until Friday night. All week people were so stressed and tired and acting crazy and stupid and I'm glad I got to see it from the outside first. And I'm glad that I have a better idea of what the clubs are really like now.

But Friday night, when everyone was doing the final official pledging stuff....I was bored out of my mind. It took them all night. And I mean ALL night. Melissa and I had no friends. But Ted and David were in town, which made the night somewhat more bearable. We did go to the soccer games and for some reason they reversed. The guys won and the girls lost. The rest of the night was kinda complainy and uneventful.

Last night however, was extremely eventful. I slept until 3....even though I was only up until 3, but whatev. Everyone else slept that late so I had to fit in with the crowd. I didn't do much for a while but then we went to Wal Mart and got pumpkins and went to carve them at the park. It was really fun but cold and dark by the time we got done.

Then we went to Casa Brava for dinner, which was much better than I expected. The chips and salsa/cheese dip was exceptionally delicious. Tacos aren't that great, but I'll try something else next time. Then things really got interesting....we decided to go to the corn maze.

Brittany was tired and didn't want to drive so I drove her car, since Joseph had my car. Everything's going fine until I see blue lights behind me. Less than 5 minutes before I had said "I don't know what the speed limit is here." Turns out I was going 66 in a 45. I could barely even talk to the cop I was so nervous. He was asking me all these questions and I was shaking and I couldn't think straight so I was stuttering and tripping over my words all while trying not to cry. To make things worse Brittany didn't have a current insurance card. Of course he gave me a ticket. I'm supposed to go to court Decemeber 19th. That's after finals so I don't even know if I'll be here.

It took about 2 minutes to get to the corn maze after that. It was still a lot of fun. It was good to be doing something to take my mind off it. Otherwise I probably would have broken down and cried and been upset the rest of the night. Instead I got to sneak around and scare everyone while trying to find the exit. I actually ended up scaring these people that I didn't know...it was kinda funny.

We went to Highway today and it was pretty good. Then we went to Arby's and Ted and David left. Then I finished reading Redeeming Love, which was one of the best parts of Pledge Week (getting to read something I actually wanted to read). Then I slept and went to Sears' open house. Boys in the dorms still weirds me out. Then there was downtown and homework and studying for my french test tomorrow. I'm nervous, I'm not gonna lie.
